History of Hartzog Conger Cason
Before founding Hartzog Conger Cason, Larry Hartzog was an experienced Oklahoma City attorney. His corporate, transactional and securities expertise garnered national recognition. But there was one vision Larry couldn’t ignore. He dreamed of creating Oklahoma’s preeminent law firm.
In April 1979, Larry joined forces with two successful young attorneys Bill Conger and Len Cason, creating what is now known as Hartzog Conger Cason. After Bill passed away in 2013, we memorialized him by sponsoring the J. William Conger Courtroom at the Oklahoma City University School of Law. A portrait of Larry, who passed in 2014, hangs in the Great Hall of our offices. Although Len is the only remaining named partner, our founding vision is alive and well.
In the spirit of our illustrious founders, Hartzog Conger Cason has produced some of America’s finest attorneys. In addition to numerous law professors and in-house counsels, our alumni include a university president, a law school dean, a federal magistrate judge, a mayor, a state cabinet secretary and the chairman and CEO of a large, publicly traded company.
Through decades of dedication and commitment, we have fulfilled our founders’ ambitious vision. The devotion that united Larry, Len and Bill burns brighter than ever. It’s the heart of soul of the elite team at Hartzog Conger Cason.
